Volunteering
Mood:  energetic
Topic: Volunteering
Dayton, Ohio has been a great place for volunteering for many years.

Many services that we have today would not be available if it were not for volunteering. If you are between jobs, working, looking for work, or just plain bored, maybe volunteering can fill the time, show people your talents and skills, help you get more job leads or show a prospective employer that you do have what it takes to help his or her company.

Employment Application - Do's & Don'ts
Mood:  accident prone
Topic: Emplyment Application
No matter how impressive the resume might be,

it is the application that is filed and information put on the company computer. It stays with you all through the years that you work for the company. And when other prospective employers call, the information on that application may be the only information the employer uses and passes on. Most employers will update and add information on your performance, but some do not.

The Dreaded Interview
Mood:  mischievious
Topic: Interview
The interview is where you really shine, or stumble all over yourself. Remember that first impression is the one that is going to last and last and last. This is where the potential boss is scrutinizing for a “glitch” to base your character, work ethic, and social skills. We all have them. This is the time to practice until you can project a personality that will win anyone over.

Multi-tasking is the ability to do more than one task at a time. Some men are very adaptable to multi-tasking some are not. Figure out if you are able. This will increase your ability to do more in less time.

Hygiene
Mood:  smelly
Topic: Hygene
One of the things that turns off prospective employers immediately...

is bad hygiene. Body smells from several areas can be taken care of quite easily with frequent washings and use of deodorant.

The First Impression
Mood:  suave
Topic: Impression
Today, more that ever, competition for jobs, any jobs...

...is tougher than ever. Believe it or not when we go to find a job, we must present ourselves as clean, and, at least neat and looking one position up from the one we are actually wanting. So, if you want to be a janitor, you dress as a supervisor. Why? Because, if you can appear as a supervisor, you will probably be a good, dependable janitor because you are going to always try to impress those you work for.
